Thomas Telford's famous Pontcysyllte Aqueduct is only a 10-minute walk from the hotel, along the Llangollen canal footpath.
The town of Llangollen is just 5 minutes away by car, while the town of Wrexham is only 15 minutes away. The beautiful city of Chester is approximately 30 minutes' journey by car. The bus service, which stops just outside the Oaklands’ gates, can take you to any of these places, if you need a break from driving.
Travel information
The nearest train station is at Ruabon which is a 5 minute drive away. The bus service stops right outside the station and will bring you directly to Oaklands.
