Set in an 18th-century timber building, The Golden Pheasant Country Inn is located in the picturesque Ceiriog Valley. The historic town of Chirk, with its medieval castle is a 10-minute drive away and the Grade I listed Pontcysyllte Aquaduct, a World Heritage Site, is 15 minutes’ drive from the hotel.

Scenic walks, bicycle rides and horse rides can be enjoyed in the countryside surrounding The Golden Pheasant. The small town of Llangollen can be reached after a 20-minute drive, or a 10-minute drive along country lanes and over the mountain.

In the evenings guests can dine in the Pheasant restaurant with views of the garden. Pre-dinner drinks can be enjoyed in the bar or in the guest lounge which overlooks the garden and the Ceiriog valley.

Travel information
By Car (from the A5):
- From the A5, take the exit for Chirk and follow the B4500.
- Continue along this road towards Glyn Ceiriog.
- The first village you come to is Pontfadog.
- There is a sign towards the hotel on the left-hand side of the road. This sign points you in the correct direction, which is a left turn at the other side of Pontfadog.
- When you arrive at the Golden Pheasant Country Hotel and Inn, take a left at the end of the building and the car park is on the left, at the rear of the building.
